Princesshay, Exeter (May 2002)
adapted by Simon Persighetti & Phil Smith for Queen Elizabeth College, Crediton
(May 2002)
and by Phil Smith for St David's Community First School, Exeter (May 2002)
A paving stone is a page or a stage, but it is also a public
space and a piece of real estate. It is space for an intervention by
the participant as collaborator.
For tEXt 2002, we invited Saturday shoppers to join us in
writing messages from Exeter to friends and relatives elsewhere. The
messages were chalked upon the paving stones of Princesshay pedestrian
precinct.
